You will not make it long in the stand if you are cold and hating life. Honestly, you should consider your hunting clothing as an essential piece of gear like your rifle. Think of it like this, you could spend $75 on the big box store jacket that might last a season or two OR you could spend $150-200 on a jacket that will last you damn near a decade. So does this mean that you need to run out and just buy the most expensive hunting clothes that you can afford? Yes, especially if you are a serious and dedicated hunter who spends as many days in the woods as the spouse allows. At best they might last you 1-2 seasons before the stitching rips, the zipper breaks, or you get tired of being cold in the stand. They are typically made from cheaper materials, are poorly stitched, poorly insulated, and lack the features of quality hunting clothes. At first glance, these clothes can appear to be all that you need but spend enough time in the stand and you will learn to hate them. For years I hunted in the cheapest hunting gear I could find at the local Walmart. You will notice in the above paragraph that I highlighted the words “quality clothing.” This was very intentional. A warm hunter is better able to pay attention to the task at hand, filling the freezer! But You Said, “Without Spending A Fortune” Being cold and having a case of the shivers makes for terrible hunting and can increase the likelihood of a bad shot. If you have quality clothing that covers these three layers you will definitely be warmer while in the stand. You need to dress appropriately for the weather using a combination of a base layer, an insulation layer, and an outer layer. There is not some magical solution to staying warm while hunting, it’s actually very simple.

I used them for the first time this spring and they're split again at the seam. I again called and exchanged them for another pair. The second pair of gloves split on the same thumb at the same seam after only a few hunts. I called nomad and they offered to replace them which I did. I bought them out of state so couldn't exchange in the store. I got a pair of the NWTF gloves from them for like $25 for bow season.the seams on the thumb split after one weekend of hunting. I've had a shirt from them that was OK but was not durable.
